Overview

Cowan's 2021 fall Arms & Armor auction offers a wide range of exceptional firearms and military items for the most discerning collector and arms enthusiast that span nearly 300 years, from a mid-18th century Fine Pair of Scottish Steel Flintlock Ram's Butt Pistols by John Campbell (Lot 1) to some of the highest quality sporting arms produced in recent times. 

Highlights for collectors include a profusely engraved and gold decorated Tiffany Style Gripped Colt Model 1862 Police Revolver (Lot 158) and an Outstanding Italian Flintlock Fusil by Botti & Cominazo (Lot 3). For the sporting arms enthusiast, the Famars (A&S) Poseidon 20-Bore Shotgun (Lot 138) and the Winchester Single Square Bridge Pre-64 Model 70 (Lot 198) by Charlie Coffin will certainly not disappoint. 

Cowan's additionally returns to the Class III market with a scarce GM Guide Lamp Division M3 "Grease Gun" (Lot #93-A) as well as other Class III offerings. 

For the militaria collector, a fresh to market Battle of Lake Erie Congressional Presentation Sword with Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry Autographed Letter (Lot 6) and a wonderful collection of 19th and early 20th century European military helmets will be offered. The helmet highlights including a Prussian Kaiser Alexander Garde Grenadier Officer's Helmet (Lot 13) and a Saxon Garde Reiter Officer's Model 1907 Helmet with Lion (Lot 8). 

Additional lots include a fine collection of Colt Model 1878 Revolvers, military arms that span two centuries of world history and a fine assortment of more recent sporting arms suitable for collecting or use on the range or in the field.
